The Waltzer has been in the park since the start of the 1970s season. It was made by a company called maxwells which only made two of its kind. In the 1970s the ride looked very furturistic. This was because of the the moulded plasitc roundings, but also because it had blue and orange fibreglass on the ceiling of the ride. The ride also had some disco lights which made the ride different and had a effect on the riders. Since then the ride has had lots of different design updates to make sure the ride still looks furturistic.
